چکیده
Salt accumulation in soils poses severe challenges for crop production arid and semi-arid regions. Scarcity of rainfall a high evaporation rate these regions are considered major reasons salt accumulation. It drastically reduces the leaching excessive salts below root zone crops. The toxic effects on plants can be greatly reduced with use biological inorganic amendments. present study was conducted to investigate positive influence gypsum (GP), composted cow dung (CCD) combined (GP+CCD) growth, seed yield, physiological chemical attributes sunflowers (Helianthus annuus) salty soil conditions. Saline-sodic prepared using that include NaCl, Na2SO4, MgSO4, CaCl2. contained three levels electrical conductivity (EC), i.e., 1.8, 6, 12 dS m−1, had sodium adsorption ratio (SAR) 15. We noted significant deleterious stress multiple produce, physiology, factors sunflowers. However, treatment GP+CCD improved all conditions over control treatment. Treatment also significantly increased N, P K contents absence stress, normal Conversely, caused an extreme decline antioxidant enzyme activity (APX, GPX, CAT SOD) Na+/K+ seeds up 90, 75, 71% at EC level respectively. This suggests application better salt-affected soils, augmented biochemistry nutritional value sunflower seeds.

Molecular and Physiological Responses of Sunflower (helianthus Annuus L.) to Pgpr and Sa under Salt Stress
This paper presents the efficacy of PGPR (Azospirillum and Pseudomonas) and its modulation by salicylic acid. Two hybrids of sunflower (Hysun and Parsun) were inoculated with Azospirillum spp. and Pseudomonas spp. prior to sowing. Salt stress (20 dSm) was applied 28 d after sowing followed by foliar spray of salicylic acid (100 μM) after 4 h of salt treatment. Azospirillum and Pseudomonas inocu...
متن کاملPhysiological and gene expression responses of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) plants differ according to irrigation placement.
To investigate effects of soil moisture heterogeneity on plant physiology and gene expression in roots and leaves, three treatments were implemented in sunflower plants growing with roots split between two compartments: a control (C) treatment supplying 100% of plant evapotranspiration, and two treatments receiving 50% of plant evapotranspiration, either evenly distributed to both compartments ...
متن کاملMorphological and molecular responses of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) lines to drought stress
Drought stress is a serious adverse factor limiting growth and productivity of sunflower. Evaluation of defense systems is important for producing resistant cultivars. In this study, some agro-morphological and molecular characteristics of six sunflower lines were evaluated under normal and irrigation at 40 and 60% of field capacity in randomized complete block design (RCBD). The results showed...
متن کاملEffects of scrubber by-product-stabilized dairy lagoon sludge on growth and physiological responses of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.).
Brick manufacturing industries are challenged to comply with clean air mandates. Dry air scrubbers have been used to remove acid gases from the exhaust air from brick manufacturing plants. The use of dry air scrubbers results in the production of large quantities of an alkaline powder by-product. A greenhouse experiment was conducted to evaluate the potential of using dairy lagoon sludge stabil...
متن کاملEffects of Salinity, Temperature, and Polyethylene Glycol on the Seed Germination of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)
Salinization has severe influences on agriculture in the whole world. The main aims of this work were to evaluate osmotic effect and ion effect of NaCl on seed germination of three sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) cultivars interacting with three alternating temperature regimes and to select the most salt tolerant cultivars to plant in the saline region. Seeds were germinated in the isotonic Na...
